WHAT FUELS ME?

 Humility, Fearless and Kindness

I have humility and my mother who instilled respect and being humble instilled this in me from a young age.

I was taught to respect all the people irrespective of the status.

I am brave and fearless because my mom told me that I should be the best I can be.

MY GREATEST INFLUENCE:

My mom looked after us singlehandedly as a family of 6.

MY TOP THREE ROLE MODELS:

 Annah Serutle

Oprah Winfrey

Sylvia Leabile

IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS…..

For the past 5 years, I have been sharing this dream with my daughters. I dream to have 3 mobile libraries to move around rural villages to empower our kids with reading because knowledge is power. I would appreciate a donor for books and a truck with bookshelves.

THE AFRICAN WOMAN’S CHALLENGE:

The biggest challenge I think is having confidence themselves and allowing themselves not to be abused. I run women workshops to empower women to love themselves selfishly.  Another theme we had was “Loving Yourselves”.

Young girls struggle and have lost their dignity. I run workshops to regain their dignity by donating sanitary pads and educating them about their sexuality as young girls.

In 1999, I realized that had women’s issues involve men and I had a workshop where the topic was Men in the new Millennium. This topic was an indication to men that their role is changing as women assume senior positions at work and in the society. It’s a pity I do not have the pictures of that event.

WHAT I DO TO RELAX:

Read books and take a brisk walk

MY   –   I.C.E. [INSPIRE|CELEBRATE|EMPOWER] VISION

African women had to go through a lot of hardship and suffering both as women and as Black, so we need to appreciate each and uplift each other.

MY AFRICAN UNION PLANS:

I would want to work with abused kids and women. The reason is to give them love and to instill the culture of loving themselves and forging the World.

FINAL WORDS OF ADVICE:

Motshidisi Freda Malema JUNE 2017 - TWITTER

My humble message is to love yourself and others unconditionally, forgive yourself and others to live harmoniously. Give to the World whatever you have without expecting anything back. I will continue to say that they should read to keep abreast of what is happening around them to lower the level of ignorance. To the young girls, I would say they should learn to be independent and balance that with good mannerism and respect from our grandmothers.
